Electrical Scope
What Sigma Can Help With
Electrical preparation and integration for energy and backup systems, based on the property and equipment requirements.
Solar Electrical Connections
Code-compliant electrical connections, disconnects, and main-panel integration for solar equipment.
Battery Storage Integration
Electrical preparation and integration for battery storage, load management, and critical-load needs.
Backup Power Wiring
Wiring and distribution planning for the circuits that need power during an outage.
Generator Connections
Electrical hookups for properly specified generator equipment; generator sales are not included.
Transfer Switches
Transfer equipment that safely separates backup generation from utility power.
Critical-Load Circuits
Dedicated backup distribution for selected essential circuits and equipment.
Load Calculations
Review of existing and proposed loads to determine capacity and equipment requirements.
Panel & Service Capacity
Panel checks and service upgrades when the existing electrical system cannot support the proposed load.
Storage Integration
Battery Storage Electrical Work
A home battery system has to work with the property's service, panel arrangement, grounding, disconnects, and the circuits selected for backup. Sigma evaluates those electrical conditions and installs the electrical scope required by the approved system design.
Planning can account for today's critical loads and possible future expansion, while keeping the system within available capacity and applicable electrical requirements.
- Home battery backup electrical integration
- Critical-load panel and circuit planning
- Load management and calculated capacity
- Dedicated circuits and required disconnects
- Existing panel compatibility review
- Electrical planning for future expansion
Outage Readiness
Backup Power & Generator Electrical Connections
Generator hookups require more than connecting a power source. Proper transfer equipment must safely isolate the backup source from utility power, and the backed-up circuits must be planned around the generator and electrical system capacity.
Sigma provides generator electrical connections, transfer-switch work, backup circuit wiring, and related electrical testing. Sigma does not sell generators; the connection scope is based on compatible, properly specified equipment and applicable code requirements.
Electrical Backup Scope
- Generator electrical hookups and equipment connections
- Transfer switches and safe utility isolation
- Selected backup and critical-load circuits
- Electrical planning for emergency preparedness
Electrical Readiness
Solar-Ready Electrical Systems
Sigma supports the electrical requirements around a solar installation without representing itself as a solar sales, roofing, or full solar installation company.
Panel Capacity
Review the existing panel, breakers, bus rating, and available service capacity.
Service Upgrades
Upgrade service equipment when the approved energy-system design requires more capacity.
Conduit & Routing
Provide electrical conduit and routing support where included in the defined electrical scope.
Code-Compliant Connections
Complete electrical integration based on approved plans, equipment requirements, and inspection standards.
Plan the Whole System
Why Panel Capacity Matters
Solar, EV chargers, batteries, ADUs, and backup systems can all change how power moves through a property. Reviewing the main panel and calculated load before adding equipment helps prevent overloaded circuits, undersized service equipment, and avoidable changes later.
If the existing service cannot safely support the proposed system, Sigma can define the necessary panel or service work and coordinate it with the broader electrical project.
